Carb. Time

What 2 barrel carbs. have you tried, particularly on a 304V8?
Some of the ones I've heard about are the Holley 04412s,with 500cfm,manual choke.. The original equipment(1979) Holley 2245 with autochoke.. And the Motorcraft 2100. I'm no carb wizard so i'm looking for a "simple" install..
Any input would be great!! Thanks Booker

Re: Carb. Time

The only advice I can offer, is that I've read that the 500 cfm Holley 2300 is overkill for an IH 304. Apparently it can be much more difficult to tune and set up than a 350 cfm Holley 2300.

The 350 cfm 2300 is actually more expensive than the 500 cfm version, but is better suited to that application. You just don't need that much fuel delivery for a stock 304 that never sees more than 3500-4000 RPM, if that.
