SD 33 For Sale

1977 SD 33 was in a Scout. Ran when removed odometer showed 8K Probably 108k. Engine, starter, Pump, Fuel filter , Lines, P/s pump, Alternator, Intake and exhaust manifolds, Motor mounts and accessorie brackets,only part missing is waterpump/fan Also includes 727 auto trans adapter and D20 transfer. Everything for $400.00 Back injurie necesitates sale. Located in the Baltimore/Washington DC area. Call 304.263.6577 if interested.

Is that a diesel? Will it bolt into a 1970 ih 1200 crew cab and its currently a manual how hard is that swap?

The engine/trans/transfer came out of a scoput II . I have no idea how had it would be to put it into a truck. Yes it is a diesel.

Yes, the SD-33 is a diesel. It was made by Nissan (in conjunction with Chrysler) for use in forklifts, the Nissan Patrol 4x4, and by IH. It's an inline-6 with low power (the turbo version (SD-33T) only puts out 101hp; I think the natural aspirated version puts about about 95 or so hp), but torque is almost endless. I have trouble keeping freeway speeds in my Scout II; I wouldn't want to try it in a 3/4 ton pickup that has to weigh more. Sorry...for a pickup diesel, you'd probably be best off with a 6.9l.
