Milage

Hello,
This will be my first post and I would appreciate any help. I am looking at buying a Scout II as my first vehicle. I was wondering what kind of milage I might get with a 304 and a 3.54 gear ratio. I plan on running 31 inch tires. Thank you for your help.
Buck

Re: Milage

If you're concerned enough about mileage to ask, then a Scout may not be what you want.
Mileage can vary widely depending on your driving habits, the terrain, the altitude, etc. But
if I had to throw out a guess, I'd say somewhere from 12 to 14 mpg.

Later,
Curt

Re: Milage

I have a '75, very good running 304, 3.54 gears, 30 inch tires, stock Holley 2 barrel, and a 727 automatic tranny. I get between 9 - 12 mpg. The mileage is terrible, but I try not to let it be a priority.
