Affordable lift for '78 Scout II

Hey fellas, quick question. I want to lift my Scout II about 3" for larger tires. I've looked at a body lift and suspension. The body lift sounds completicated by the directions I've read from the manufacturer but a suspension lift is really expensive. Any comments on which one? The scout is a daily driver not a rock/mud machine if that matters. If you think a suspension is the way to go anyone no where I can pick one up affordable???

Thanks,

Justin

Lift?

Hey Justin

The body lift was not a real big deal with my '77. The hardest part was relocating the steering column on the firewall. As far as suspension, you could go with bigger shackles to gain almost 3". I have an old Off-Road or 4Wheeler mag with the plans for it I could try and find for you but that could take a while. I was in H S when we picked up my 4" Trail Master suspension so you will just need to hunt around. Just me 2 cents...

Keep us posted!
