73 SCOUT II Electrical problem

I just purchased a 73 scout 2 and when i installed a hot battery in it and turned the key and there is no sign of lights or electricity geting to the vehicle. Is there some relays hiding somewhere cause all i found were some fuses under the dash bye the steering wheel? All and any advice is good as this is my first off road vehicle and want to atleast restore this vehicle to running and working conditional to go trail riding. Thanks

Check the BHC (as mentioned above) and all of your battery connections. Broken wires are a killer in these rigs. If a PO has done any electrical, go thru it with a fine tooth comb to get it right. There are mini fires waiting to happen at the alt gauge, bypass that sucker right away.

Good luck.
