1979 Scout

Hello everyone. I have just purchased a 1979 Scout. 345 v-8 auto trans.
I'm have looked and looked again for a speedometer cable. Can anyone
recommend someplace to get one from and other parts? Seems the parts houses where I live don't carry International parts.... Any help would be MUCH APPRECIATED.. Thanks to all and be careful

If you are still looking, I believe that I have a speedometer cable for the 1978 Scout II. If you want it, let me know and I will search my storage unit for it. I have a few other items as well, so let me know if you need something. I replaced my original dash and gauges and went with modern round gauges.

These are a few places that come to mind when I think scout parts. There are others as well. The parts houses can get some of the parts, but not all. You need to go into the "books" on the shelf to get anything of value, their computers are typically wrong.

Good luck & welcome to scouting.

Yer welcome. I've seen the universals at my local O'Rielly (formally Shucks), but it's only the inner core. If that's all you needed, congrats. Would be nice to find them carried as a entire unit.
