Scout 80 Transplant
I've come across a basically free (I haul it away)
Scout 80. The Scout is in running
condition with the typical poor appearance of a 4x4
stitting in a field in Nevada for 5-10 years. A little
rust, all the glass is intact. With a fresh battery
and tires it would be driveable. My current 4x4 toy is
a 1977 K20 350/350/205/Locked F&R. Since I live in CA
and I have to smog the '77 every two years I was
thinking about swaping the entire driveline over to
the Scout. Yeah I know it's going to be a lot of work.
What kind of problems can I expect? Is this a really
bad (or good) idea?
