Re: scout v8 conversion

You will have to do some modifying to the engine bay to make it fit. I dont know what else is involved.

Re: scout v8 conversion

how cherry is that 61?...is it a low numbers truck?.....would hate to see a good original first year scout get chopped.......but if you are really serious.....the engine bay will have to be modified to onve the motor forward 4-6 inches is all.....depending if you leabe the back half where it's at and not modify the drive shafts as well.

Re: scout v8 conversion

The front clip is different. You need a v8 800's front fenders hood, etc.

Pretty sure the only difference is the frame..

I'm putting a V8 in my 63' - and I've seen everything from no cut to butcher. I extended the frame and cout out the radiator core support
