\'66 scout questions

I just obtained a 66 scout and had some questions about it. Everything is still stock including the 4cy motor.
1) What type of axels might be on it? And I thought I read that they may come equiped with some sort of locker or limited slip diff, is this possible?
2) Would these stock axels handel a swap to a larger engine. I am planning on putting a chevy 350 in it and would like to know if I am going to need to upgrade my axels right away or if they will hold up for a while?

Re: \'66 scout questions

You will definitely need to upgrade the toothpi.., I mean axles. They might be ok for a little while with small tires if you take it easy on the throttle.

A good swap would be some D44s from a SII.
