np 205 to 727

Anyone Know how to hook an np 205 to a 727 that came out of a two wheel drive?

Re: np 205 to 727

In what kind of vehicle? My Travelall has a 727 that's the same as the 2wd version, with a divorced
np205 behind it, and about a 16" driveshaft connecting the two. Obviously, if you're talking about
a Scout, this won't work (with the possible exception a traveler or terra).

In a 100" WB Scout, yes. You might be able to make it work if you went with a
very short driveshaft, but it would be a lot easier and a better final result to
go with a married transfer case.

Re: np 205 to 727

does the tailshaft housing on the two wheel drive tranny come off like on a 4X4?
i don't have the tranny yet, i'm just kicking ideas around. if it came off i could go with a dodge tail shaft housing, and a married transfer case?
