I have a 73 scout D44. It came with 11" x 1 3/4" rear drum brakes. Can Jeep(off a D44 also) brake shoes, drums and hardware be used that is 11" x 2"?

Re: scoutbrakes,jeepbrakes

If the offset from the wheel flange to the backing plate is the same, it should work, but I think you'll find the offset to be slightly different. In that case you'll need to change the backing plates also. I've seen some Jeep Dana 44s that have a completely different bolt pattern on the axle tube flange, so it may take a little work to bolt up the Jeep backing plates.
