ignition and timing
Has anyone use the Crane 3000 electronic ignition replacement kit? I hooked up on my 72 scout II w/ 345 automatic, also have the PS40 coil. The problem is setting the timing. I did the TDC thing. Than drill a hole in the cap to set timing. After I got the rotor center in the hole, the timing marks where off on the damper. The distributor had not moved and it still starts, but diesels when you shut off the motor. Any ideas?
