mating my dana 20 t-case to a mopar 727...

i am curious if my dana 20 transfer case will mount to a chrysler 727 transmission. scoutt II's use a 727 made with a special bell housing to mate with international motors, but i would like to know more information about the tail end. does anyone know if the tailshaft from a 2 wheel drive mopar 727 is removable and my dana 20 able to bolt in place? i am curious because my international 727 blew up and i would like to repower with a mopar motor. i know...sacreligeous to a real international person, but im just trying to stay in budget with what ive got to work with. any help i can get would be great. thanks

hey domino I have heard of this swap b-4 and to my knowledge I beleive that other than normal motor mount fabs and other mods. you will have to remove the tail shaft from ur I.H. 727 tranny and install it into your new or exchanged mopar 727 tranny. hope this helps you in any way good luck and let me know how ur progressing
