What is this?

Okay, I am looking for the oil pressure sender on the block. I have no idea where it is. I thought that this might be it, just in front of the starter. But it is not the same as the new part I got. Whatever this is, the connector is broken so I need to replace it.

i cant get the pic up so i'll guess that it is the knock sensor. was it midway on the water jacket? beloow the heads about 3-4"? some times the temp sensor is put there? as far as the sending unit for oil, lookbehind distibutor on the lip of the valley for the block.

'89. The local Napa guy couldn't find the right part in his master catalog. I know that Advance carries it in stock, so I'm going there for it.
