79 Chev Front Driveshaft

I recently bought a 79 Chev 2500 bogger and I am doing a rebuild on the front driveshaft. There was lots of play at the double-cardan joint so I pulled it out. The yolk for the ball was cracked and there was a cup missing and all the seals were gone. So i got a rebuild kit but I can't remove the one ball from the shoulder. It is worn and I want to replace it but I can't get it off! I've tried heating it up but it won't move!
Any ideas would be great...

try useing a large c-clamp to applie preasurewile you are heating it. what are you using for heat? sometimes airchisels help, vibration does more then hammers, trust me i spent time as a diesel mechanic at a dairy, and i rebuild cotton gin mechinery. rust gets more knuckles busted than a hard weld. all else fails try soaking it in deisel. good luck
