Cool D44 vs GM10bolt

Which axle is stronger or are they = whats the major diff between them?

They are about equal, not worth swapping one for the other. From the knuckles out they are the same.
Only reason to get a 44 is if your gonna do a crossover steering conversion, but you need a flat top knuckle 44.

What he said. Where one has flaws the other has strengths. Most of us consider them interchangeable as whole units. Only reason to swap them would be better gearing and/or lug pattern in the other.

2011 Silverado 1500 Z71 with stuff. Stockish.

you can put flat top knuckle on the 10 bolt

i would consider them egual, same ring and pionion same axles same same just alittle difrent shape. also came on the same trucks

also in 6 and 8 lug same as the d44.

though i would consider a 78.5-79 hp d44 out of ford and pretty decent upgrade. this axle is alittle difrent but still has some interchangeable parts with the 10 bolt
