Serpentine to V-belt conversion?

Are there any tricks or problems to converting later model 5.7L serpentine belt drive engines to V-belt style?

I know I would have to get the proper brackets and pulleys, but didn't know if there were any changes to the block, heads, water pump that would cause any major problems.

Thank for any info.

Why would you want to do this? I added a York under hood so I bought a combo pulley. The v belt for the compressor was the only v belt I had under there.

im running the tbi set up in my 83 k5 but i swapped a carbed intake on it with no other mods.

everything works just have to get the alternator wires wired right into the older trucks harness. i just wired in the tbi connector and everything is fine.

the mechanical fuel pump even bolted right to block with no problems.
