Any fullsize chevy/GMC truck before 1988 will have a solid front axle. Now depending on weight class & years, it could be a 10 bolt, dana 44, or dana 60. The crewcab trucks, stayed with a solid front axle until they switched over to the newer body style in 92, so up to 91 will have a SFA. K-5 blazers and suburbans stayed with a SFA until they switched over to the new body style in 92 as well, so up until 91 also had SFA's.
So, given the year range you are looking for, in the trucks, .. you would be searching for a 1 ton (V3500) crewcab (4 door) (89-91), which came with a Dana 60 front axle (solid or live axle) and a 14 bolt FF rear. An 88, 87 or 86 etc will be the same basic beast as well, but I tried to stay in the year range you listed. After 91, the only thing you would find is something that someone did a solid axle swap on.
A pain in the worlds butt, since 1967
