Disc Brake Conversion

I Have A 94 Chevy 4x4 3500 Pickup. Want To Convert Rear Drum Brakes To Disc Brakes. Off Road Article Project Potent Rodent , Dated July 1, 2001, 14 Bolt Disc Brake Install, Discussed The Procedure, But I Have Some Questions. The Drums Are Not Pressed On The Hub As In The Article. They Are Removed Similar To Semi-floating Axle. The Article Gave A Parts List, But Failed To Mention What Vehicle The Flexible Lines Come From. I Was Told By Local Speed Shop That A Dodge, Possible Truck, Has Correct Length & Fittings To Work With Cadi Calipers. Also, Why Won't Stock E-brake Cables Work? Is It Possible To Purchase Caliper Bracket From Local Gm Dealer And Still Have Them Work? I Am Trying To Keep Down Costs And It Would Be Easier To Get Replacements Locally. If
Anyone Has Done A Conversion And Has Any Helpful Information To Pass Along On The Subject It Would Be Appreciated.

The soft lines most people use are from a 79 chevette. They cost about 11 bucks at the local parts stores, but sometimes are not in stock.

A pain in the worlds butt, since 1967
