Bolt in?

Will a semi floater 14 bolt off a 3/4 ton suburban bolt into a k5 blazer?

This parts truck is also a tbi 454. That swap easy into the place of a tbi 350? How close is the wiring? The fuel systems similar enough?

The price is right on the 3/4, almost too good to pass up. I'd hate to see it cut up for scrap.

Re: Bolt in?

Some years in there would help...but if it is an '81-'91 Suburban which it sounds like (454 FI, so 87+ and 2WD) then yeah, you can swap it. Might need a conversion ujoint, but that'll be about it.

As for the mill, I'm not sure. Depending on what year the K5 is will depend on how similar the wiring will be. Since the 454 is FI then there's a half-assed computer involved.

Re: Bolt in?

Yea, years would help.

1990 K5 and the 3/4 ton is between 88 and 90, i think it is a 90.

The only thing that might cause a problem would be that the blazer has a 3.73 and this thing might have a 4.10. Not impossible to overcome, but one more step to make it a runner. The 3/4 ton i was told has a locking rear. The blazer's rear is on its last legs.
