clutch replacement

ok, i have a 1989 chevrolet suburban,3/4 ton,350tbi,sm465, np241,i an looking for the estimated r and r of the clutch, i will be using a lift,tranny jack and air tools. Any tricks to make this job easyer would be a big help, iv done plenty of toyota clutches but never a chevrolet. thanks, steve

the job is not that hard.

the parts on a chevy might be harder to handle than a toy, so having a buddy around to help is a plus. getting one of those plastic tools that helps line up the clutch is also a good idea.

other than that, fairly strait forward.

Get a Haines or Chiltons manual it will help alot. Other than that, a clutch is a clutch. Alot of things are the same no matter what vehicle you are dealing with.
