chevy truck engine swap/ olds 403

got a question for you guys, ive got a 82 shortbed gmc w/ a 250 six in it and just last night got a olds 403 with tranny for next to nothing and am wanting to put it in my truck, what do i got to do as far as motor mounts?

Is your truck 4wd? There will be more to this than motor mounts if it is. To my knowledge it is only the cadillacs that have different motor mount locations.

no its not 4wd, i know im posting on a 4wd sight but i didnt want to register on another sight just to find this out. I know the mounts thats on the frame are too wide and i cant bolt the chevy v8 block mounts onto the 403 but i did swipe the frame mounts from the car too so maybe i can make it work

Nah, it doesn't matter if it's 2wd around here. Don't worry about that, I was just asking in reference for the rest of the parts. I'm out of info for you, hopefully someone else will chime in who has experience working with the different blocks.
