Need Help 89 Suburban

I'm usually on the swb jeep forum but my tow rig has a problem and I'm hoping you can help. I have an 89 GMC Suburban TBI 350 700R4 Trans 2wd. Problem major hesitation when I get on the throttle. Things I've checked and or replaced...New cap, rotor, plugs and wires, new map sensor, new o2 sensor, egr is workimg and we aren't finding any vacume leaks, timing has been properly set to factory standards. Throttle response is almost perfect when the map sensor vacume line is disconnected and plugged. Hopefuly you guys wiil have an idea.
Thanks in advance,
John

Re: Need Help 89 Suburban

Sounds like a fuel issue.

When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced?

I'd throw a new one on, see if the problem is still there. Could also be the fuel pump, or fuel sock in the tank. Both would restrict fuel, causing that problem. Ideally you could check the preasure at the rail behind the tbi.
