Replacment Hubs

I was wondering if anyone has found replacement dana Spicer locking hubs for my 44 front axel. Will my local auto parts store have them?

What about aftermarket hubs? are they worth the money?

Im only asking because one of my hubs hit a rock and the nylon lock got all chipped and is now hard to lock and unlock...

How do the aftermarket ones look for the 44? ive only seen half tons pictured in the ads, anyone have some with a pic?

Thanks, Joe

Re: Replacment Hubs

K15 Dana 44 and K25 Dana 44 have the same hubs. I've got a set of the Warn Premium ones on my Corporate 10 Bolt. I decided against the standard plastic ones for the very reason you need a new set. I got my set at Napa, I think they were like $75. It was several years ago now. I know you can get them at Checker/Schucks/Kragen too, Warn ones that is, possibly Superwinch, not sure about MM.

Mile marker, Superwinch, Warn, all make hubs. I'd go try and find a few reviews, maybe some trail tests and see what people like. I know the mile markers are available with a stainless cap and dial.

Warn Premiums will be your best bet. Like he said, the dial is metal and not plastic, so it wont break. I have them on my truck and I love them.

Re: Replacment Hubs

I was looking at the mile marker and saw that they came in stainless, as said above by 83GMC. And teh price is around what the warn's are, i dont know they sound nice to me.
