Loose cable near AC, 89 DIESEL suburban

Hey guys, my heater core recently went out and im going to replace it. While I was poking around I found that a purple cable near all the AC stuff was disconnected. Any idea where this could go?

Theres a picture at this link

Is that one half of an inline fuse holder on the end of it?

No, it just has a female spade connector on it.

The blower motor would make sense, as it doesnt even blow anymore. Ive looked everywhere for the termination point. Any idea where it would plug into???

Thanks,
Mick

there should be a male spade coming off the back side of the fan motor. i'm not sure where it is on that year truck, but the fan motor should be on the fire wall on the left if you are looking from the front bumper under the hood. follow your heater core lines, and you will find it.
