I'm not sure if there is anyone on here with a 5-speed swapped in. Things that come to mind are switching over to a hydraulic clutch. Does the shifter come up in near the same spot? The transfer case crossmember will need to be relocated back further, the 5-speed has a longer housing than the 205. The speedometer is attached to the output shaft of the t-case, is the cable long enough to be moved back further? Umm...oh yeah, finding an adapter for the tranny -> t-case.
I remember a TH400 or TH700-R4 -> 4L80-E swap in a magazine, but nothing for manuals.
Oh, if you end up with an NV-4500, have the 5th (OD) gear nut issue fixed. That would be the recommended tranny; it's got a cast iron case like your existing SM-465, and can be had with a decent L gear.
