bigblock questions ...409 & tall deck 427!

hey im just wondering how much i could sell a complete 1963 409 everythings there but it does not run.Whats the deal with the talldeck 427s whats the diffrence between the car engines and the truck engines?
i know where i can buy a 1968 427 truck engine , would this have a steel crank , what about the heads for comp.

The 366 and 427 (not all 427s, just the tall deck ones) are both industrial engines that have different deck heights than a normal engine. They both feature massive crankshafts and have impressive low end torque. The 427s can be readily stroked to about 527 or so, search Google, there's a few articles.
