Holly Truck Avenger or Edelbrock AVS?

Opinions on either of these carbs would be great. I am ditching my TBI setup and running a carb for EJS, the TBI is giving me fits with the timing curves. I have a 327 Chevy with a weiland dual plane manifold, RV cam etc....

Re: Holly Truck Avenger or Edelbrock AVS?

I have a Truck Avenger in my 81 Jimmy. I must tell you that there is no such thing as a direct bolt on carb. I have re-jetted mine and changed the squirter, among other things. The truck avenger is suppose to be set up for a 350 SB, but you will find it will run a bit rich. Be prepared to play around with it. There is a lot of info out on the net. Some write-ups same the Truck Avenger is much better, but what do I know, I love Q-Jets.

I have a 305 that I rebuilt, but something let loose, so it has to come out again and be tore down.

Good Luck,
