How much would you pay for this truck?

- 1984 Chevy K20

- Peeling baby blue paint.

- Bone stock (still on street tires and no aftermarket accessories).

- 350 V8 (Rebuilt carburetor, no fluid leaks)/4 speed trans/Not sure on the transfer case....NP248 perhaps?

- Interior is in excellent condition.

- Frame & body in excellent condition (No rust, no frame damage, no dents..only problem is the primer is showing on the tops of the cab and hood).

- 75,xxx ORIGINAL miles.

- Needs clutch replaced.

It's been garaged for approx. 10 years and only driven about 8,000 miles in those 10 years.

I haven't got a clue as to how much something like this is worth. It's obviously an excellent buy as it's in near mint condition and relatively low miles for being 20+ years old.

Re: How much would you pay for this truck?

1d pay as much as 1800 for it. A clucth is not that hard to replace if you have a place to do it and know how. It shouldnt cost that much either. If you have to have someone do it for, expect to pay 400-500 (maybe more) depending on the shop. The transfer case is a 208 and has an excellent low range like 2.61:1. (or close to it) The run down on an 84 K20 (same truck i have)
1. 14 bolt semi floater rear axle
2. 10 bolt front
3. Sm465 Tranny (super strong)
4. No emissons crap (egr-air-cats-etc)
5. Can fitt 33's w/ no cutting
All in all this is a very good truck, and you will not be dissapointed.

Re: How much would you pay for this truck?

If the odometer is long enough to show a true 75,### original miles, then I probably would go as high as $2500, after inspecting the bajeezus out of it, and depending on options. Is it a Silverado, does it have the cab trim and deluxe interior (i.e. PW, PDL, CC, AC, tilt, Digital AM/FM Cassette)? Around my area, figure on $2500-$3500 for a top notch paint job.

I agree with 83GMC, but keep in mind it's hard to come up with a really accurate price range without being able to see it there in front of me. Heck, if i liked it enough I might be willing to go a little more.. just depends.
