9.5\" 14 bolt Semi float

I was just wondering if this axle is really worth keeping. If i was to throw some good axles, and a selectable locker, and discs. Would it be worth it or just a waste of money? I plan on running 35 x 14/15/16in wide and 16 inch rims. Thanks alot guys!

Why in the heck to you want such an awfully ugly wide tire?

I just really like the look of a wide tire, always have. To every man his own, right?

Yeah, if that's your thing, go for it. To me it always said less traction, faster wear, more stress. If I liked sand, I'd consider something wide.

Re: 9.5\" 14 bolt Semi float

i drove truck with 38x15s and it seems almost unstreeble as the truck would change lanes with no notice, but it was fun to fling mud with. but my truck in 2wd would out wheel it.

there used to be pics of my truck out climbing it in 2wd on this site somewhere

Re: 9.5\" 14 bolt Semi float

14b Sf is a good axle. 33 spline and huge drums. If you have the money and or time you could put some discs on there. I just replaced both complete brake assemblies and it was way cheaper. They are still stronger than my 10 bolt brakes. I got a Detriot, something like 600 bucks. That is why I didn't prosue dics, I'm a student. My axle had the gears I wanted so I replaced the seals, painted it and called it good. It took a whole summer because of money and what not but I am pleased.
