Found some bitchin\' tires.....

I found a tire that I had not seen before, but really liked the look of and think they will do great off-road. I was going to buy them as they are a bit cheaper than the BFG MT KM's and I can (and will) buy the road hazard warranty.

Anyway, they are a Bridgestone company called Dayton. The tires look good however only go up to a 33' tire size.

Here is the Dayton Timberline M/T pdf file. If anyone has information about the performance of these tires, let me know please. The feed back I have been told about this Brand (not this model) so far is they run really well. Yet, any Mud Terrain tire will wear faster - personally I would want the offroad performance as I don't drive my truck but maybe 3000 - 5000 miles a year for work....

Thanks!

Re: Found some bitchin\' tires.....

Hey 4by....can't comment on the M/T's....but I have a set of Timberline A/T's on my SUB. They are 265's...load range "D" and were really cheap (I think it was $107 each) compared to most other brands. The guy at the tire place (not some kid, real tire guy) told me they had won some consumer reports deal 2 or 3 years running for quality/cost.

I have always been a BFG fan myself....but I couldn't pass up these tires in a "D" load range for $50+ less than the BFG A/T....

So far they are great....very good in the snow!

Welp, I have run BFG's pretty consistantly for the simple reason that you could get the road hazard on them if there was a problem and replace one for a fraction the cost . Now, you can get RH on most tires - and these MT's are like $30 cheaper a tire and look like they would work well. I just wasn't sure of the on-road wear. Any MT will wear fast, just don't want them gone in two months - know what I mean?!

Thanks for the feed back!!! It's appreciated!
