Decoding 350ci Head ID numbers/castings

Does anyone have information regarding the casting and ID numbers found on the heads where the rockers are?

I just did valve cover gaskets this past weekend and wondered if these numbers would be able to tell me anything about the heads, without actually pulling the head off itself!

This is what the markings are:

W NH 1-037

This is the driverside head, both heads have identical markings (thankfully.) I did confirm whomever built the engine before I owned it put in a roller valvetrain. I just don't know enough yet about Chevy engine ID castings.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Decoding 350ci Head ID numbers/castings

I did find out on a side note that these are World Products / Dart heads. I just talked to a local Machine shop here in Phoenix. They were able to tell me this just by the "W" in the casting, but didn't know anything else about the other codes. Just thought I would update on what I have found so far.

I would've suggested had they been the original gm heads. Maybe you can find something on that site anyway.
