corp 10 bolt front housing ?

hey does any one know if my rear 10 bolt posi carrier will work in my front housing ? thanks therre both 10 bolt 28 spline

It seems like I remember that it won't swap... but I can't be sure. I'll try a serch when I'm at some other sites and see if I find an answer..

It will fit, but im almost positive that all rear carriers accept 30 spline axles and the front is 28, this means that you would have to upgrade to 30 spline axles. Here is a spot on off road deisgns website that explains it: http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog...axleshafts.htm scroll about half way down the page and they explain it. Hope that helps.

wasn't the spline count changed around 1988?? before that it was 28 spline, after, 30 spline. for the rear diffs. [img]images/graemlins/headspin.gif[/img]

it may have been, im not sure. I think it mentions it in the article, but i think thaths the front not rear splines.

In 1989 all corp 10 bolts, front & rear, went from 28 spline to 30.
