Vent Windows!

Alright I am in the middle or restoring a 85 GMC stepside and it has vent windows that are rusted through and completely useless. I picked up both sides with solid metal and would hope to just change the seals and should be good right? How hard is it? I was going to just sand blast and repaint the metal I dont think i should powder coat it or should I? How much would that cost? Do they make a solid window replacement? How difficult is it to throw back in. These are all little questions I have been pondering sense I recieved my new doors in from Shermans.
Thanx for the advise

Re: Vent Windows!

Changing the seals is a PITA. After taking the window out of the truck, you have to drill out the rivet at the upper pivot point. Only then can you put on a new seal.
The factory style rivets I got from Chevy Duty were a super PITA to install, so I ended up using standard pop rivets.
I ended up only changing the driver side seal and used a tube of silicone for the passenger side.
