few 85 questions

i am going to be getting an 85 chevy full size from my dads friend and i wan to lift it and put on some 36s.. and im going to put on some of teh bushwacker cut out flares on it.. what is the least amount of lift i could do and still fit the 36s under there?

also doesnt anyone know a place that sells a roll cage for an 85 chevy truck?

Smittybilt used to make a bolt-in cage kit for our trucks, check their website at smittybilt.com.

Otherwise you could find a welding shop in town that can do it for you.

The cutouts alone let u run 35's stock i think (depending on how saggy your springs are), so you shouldnt' need much....

i ran 4" lift with cut outs and 36's on mine and i never had a problem but by the way you are talking if you need a role cage i would put springs on it not just go with a body lift. I have a roll cage in mine and 14" of spring lift but i custom built mine. I had a friend of mine roll his truck the other day jumping it in the sand and blew out the tire and snaped the spindel it rolled and never even crushed the cab he had a roll bar in it that we custom built, they are a very a very good thing to have. Good luck

A good place to get flares at is rockey mountain suspension products they are on line that is were i got mine a they were the lowest prie at the time. [img]images/graemlins/RockOn.gif[/img]
