engine ID codes

the VIN on blazer has the "R" code which means 400ci but my air cleaner cover has a 350 sticker and i was wondering if anyone knows where there is an easy spot to find the codes stamped in while the engine in the truck.

This is the site I've used in the past for identifying my small blocks. Good information and pictures to help you locate your number on your block if you don't know where to look. I printed it off at one time and keep it in my tool chest for quick reference.
