york compresors?

i put this in my other post as a reply a few days ago but thought id try agen

ok i ordered my a/c brakets and i got a presher switch, regulater, blow off valve, water separater and oiler so all i need now is a tank, iv been thinking more and id like to be abel to use an impact gun with it, do you think a 10 gaoln tank would be bigenuf?

allso i think i may be geting a york compreser from a 70s datson z 240, i think ill just see how well the stock a/c pump holds up and if it dies on me ill put the york in, the #s on the top are 980.86 and 12-5516 and on the back 12-5586 and 12-5473, dose eneyone know what model this compreser is or whare i can find more info. on it

and one last thing, would thare be a componey that makes brakets for york punps to mount chevy engens or would i need one fabed?

thanks for the help

Re: york compresors?

Go to onboardair.com they will sell the brackets and tell you everything you need, even a pulley for your alternator. I have have about 2 6 gallon tanks under my toolbox. I like them there and not strapped under the bed. I have outputs under the front bumper and one right off the tank in the bed. I can run an impact gun and just about everything else. I have a York 210, they are like the ones that are on on board air. The number you read off don't sound like the ones that are on a york, again see the web site. I would go for a 210, mine came off of a Volvo 240, look for those. I got my tanks from a semi wrecking yard. Good Luck
