Where to get shock mounting bolts?

Both of the upper shock mounting bolts on the back of my truck are trashed. They're the ones with the nut permanently attached, and the smooth portion for the shock bushing. I searched all over town and the internet to find replacements, with no luck. Does anybody have a source (besides the junkyard) for these?
In the meantime, I'm going to try and make do with some regular old bolts.

Thanks.

Re: Where to get shock mounting bolts?

i've gotten them from 4WP before...just went in the back and asked if they had any...probably when they install lift they either dont use the new ones or keep the old ones around. I used to have some extra ones at the parents house, if i knew where they were i'd send em to you

Re: Where to get shock mounting bolts?

Thanks. I figured that with all the GM trucks on the road, they'd be a dime a dozen.
I was looking at this rear shock mount kit from Missouri Off-Road. Has anybody used it, or something similar?

Re: Where to get shock mounting bolts?

I finally found some brand new ones, but they come with shocks! The cheapest shocks at Autozone were 29.99 each. Do most new shocks come with the bolts? Its been quite awhile since I've bought any.

Re: Where to get shock mounting bolts?

Auto parts stores usually have a shock catalog you can peruse. You can usually buy "hardware kits" that come with these. Sometimes you can buy shocks that come with them too. No, I don't know any part numbers. I do know that one of the pairs of shocks I bought came with new ones but I don't remember which ones.

Re: Where to get shock mounting bolts?

I finally found some online at American Classic Truck Parts, for only 3.75 each. I ordered a couple to check them out. In the meantime, I have a big bolt holding the shock on. It's kind of ugly, but it works.
That website has all kinds of restoration parts for our older trucks. I also ordered the elusive vent window rivets so I can replace my weatherstripping there.
