Re: WANT To SWAP A 350 FOR MY 305

The answer is yes, a 305 TBI fuel injected engine can be replaced with a 350 TBI fuel injected engine. The the 305 TBI fuel injection computer can run a 350 TBI fuel injected engine if you change to the 350 PROM chip. There are several different 305 & 350 TBI computers and PROM chips, so do the homework to get the correct 350 PROM chip for the 350 TBI fuel injected engine you swap to.

My personal favorite performance 350 TBI engine would be from the early 1990's Police Caprice cars. The Police Stuff (computers, PROMS Injectors and the like) are no longer available from GM. Check around some of the public auctions, maybe a Police Caprice is near you for CHEAP!
