turn signal lever

I have a 1989 chevy k-5 blazer with the turn signal lever that has the windshield wiper and cruise controls on it. I have to replace it but i am stuck trying to get the old one out. I have removed the steering wheel and such but cannot see how to remove the actual turn signal lever....i cannot see how it is held in place or where it is plugged in at. If anyone can help me that would be great.

Re: turn signal lever

It's plugged in at the bottom of the column. You'll want to attach a fish wire to it when you pull the old lever out.

To get the old lever out, push the stalk in and turn. I forget which way you turn it but all you have to do is push it in and turn a little one way or the other.
