difrent stering

this probley wouldent work but if i took off my tie rod and put it on backwords so the end with the hole for the stering stabeliser was at the pasenger side and ran a shaft from the pitmen arm to that hole with the stering stabeliser removed would that work?

id probley need a 2wd stering box and to find a shaft the right langth but it would be about the same as the stering on newer 4wd dodge trucks

i hope i explaned what i am thinking well and im shure thares a reson that it wont work that i havent thought of but i figured someone hear has thought the same thing or has tryed it and might know

thanks

Re: difrent stering

I think that the shaft that would be going from the steering box to the tie rod would hit the spring and not letting you turn right.
