trans, t cace, and my truck

hears some pics of my truck i just did the lift and tiers 2 weeks ago

i just got a tran and t cace last night, i have a sm465 and np208 in my truck, my sincros are about shot and the baring and gears may be worn out to so i want to re bild this one and put it in whe i replace my clutch witch will be soon, i just need to know if its a sm420 or sm465 and whare would be a good place to get sincros barings gears and seals?

i atached a pic, i dont know how to tell the difrence in them by looking, it was in a 72 c10 blazerbut i dont know if it was original

and hears the t cace it was bolted to the trans. when i got it, it looks like a np205 to me but just not shure

im gona pull the pto covers and make shure it all looks ok replace the gasgets for the adapter plate and i think that should be all i need to do, i got the shifter and spacer sleave thing betwen the adapter to so i think i have all i need

i allso got the crossmember out of the blazer for this set up if i need to change that

shure sucked lifting bowth of thows in to the back of my truck alon in the snow, dident relise thay wer that hevey

I cant remember which side the PTO plate is on on a 420, but I believe that a 465 has one on both sides if I'm not mistaken. The 420 has reverse on the left instead of the right like the 465.

That's a 205 t-case.

eney ideas whare i shold look for sincros, barings gasgets and seals at?

i dont reley want to try to get them from the dealer if thay could get them id probley need a lone to pay for it all

shold i tare down tha t case or just spin it by hand, shift it, and pull the pto covers to see what i can?

The tranny is a SM465. I got my rebuild kit from Novak Conversions. It came complete with everthing to rebuild the tranny, including: bearings, bushings, syncros, snap rings, and instructions.

When searching the internet for my rebuild, I came across a fix for the sometimes problematic Third Gear Popout .

I got my t-case gasket kit from National Driveline .

thanks for all the help, i got the trans open and it all looked relley good, i was suprised, that 3rd gear sincro is a sweet idea if i ever do rebild this thing its its geting one

i just ordered a twin stick for the 205 tonight so that should be cool

whares a good place to get a clutch set?, id like to get a pritey strong one im shure a stock replacement would be fine but id like to get one that may last longerit needs to hold up to 400 hp 454 and 36 in. tiers

like mabey a centerforce stage 2 or even the dule friction?, but i dont even know who makes one for this trans or how mutch somthing like that would cost
