Braided fuel line leaks

The fuel line on my 87 K30, the braided stainless steel one between the hard line on the frame and the TBI (feed line) sprung a leak right in the line itself (i.e. not at the fitting). GM has discontinued this part. Does anyone know if it's just a rubber line with a stainless sleeve and clamps? If so, I will make a new one. If one can't be made, who sells them? I could go used, but their a real pain to get out.

Re: Braided fuel line leaks

I think that because it is TBI, the fuel line must be able to hold a higher pressure than a carbuerated system. You may want to try or something similar.

Re: Braided fuel line leaks

TBI pressures are rather low. something like 15-20PSI perhaps a bit lower even. its wasnt until the CSFI in 96 that they went up @ around 60 PSI
