I'm looking at SFA blazers right now, and I have found several for a reasonable price that have the GM 6.2 diesel. Should I stay away from these, or are they still running pretty hard after 20 some years? Because of the cost of repair, I am alittle scared, just let me know what you guys think.

Re: Diesel?

Never trusted engines that use fuel that grows weeds in the fuel tank.

But they must be great - look at all the Indy and NASCAR race cars that use "squeeze 'n burns."

Re: Diesel?

I'm under the impression that the older ones lasted a long time, got good mileage, and sucked power wise. But i've never driven/owned one.
