Where can I get GM 14 bolt drawings on line? Plus, can I replace the pinion bearing without going through the whole rear end. It is a full floater with the pinion support. Can the pinion support and pinion gear be removed and replaced to replace the pinion bearing?
Yes you can, you need the 2 new bearings, new seal, new races, and a new crush sleeve. Just pull the pinion support out and make sure to keep track of the shims that are under it, since you need to reuse them. And don't mix them up!
Go through the pinion, new bearings, seal, crush sleeve, etc and bolt it all back into the housing and your done.
