84 Full Size Jimmy parts fit 78 Full Size Blazer

I have my 84 full size jimmy which is dieing of cancer, severly, plus the front ball joints are shot, and it's on it's last leg chasis wise. no floor boards left

i have a few odds and ends on it that are decent.
i have an induction system i just put on, and my msd stuff, radiator, locking warn hubs, alternator, starter, front drive shaft was rebuilt, are decent, as they are just a few years old. and my class IV receiver and wiring harnesses.

other then that there's nothing good on it.

so i have a potential 78 full size blazer that's supposed to have 88k on it. all it needs is a rear end, which i figured i could get rebuilt with a nice posi unit. supposedly the truck is in very decent shape (i have not seen yet) but it if it is, i can have for 900.
so if i get it, can i used my over drive tranny from my 84?
and the radiator, if needed?
my OD tranny was rebuilt a while ago, and is in good shape.

so i figured i'd keep my tranny and what ever you guys think i may need (T-case, drive shafts, Tranny X memeber).

anyone with experience in doing this? would the parts inter change?

any pointers on what i should look over when i get it?
i'd like to jack the front end up to see if it needs ball joints.

sorry for a long drawn out messege
