12\" superlift eye to eye measurement?

I have a question about the length of the springs, i'm building a monster truck and the 12" eye to eye measure 43 3/4" if I remember right, I have the front half set up but as for the rear side I would like to know where they should be? I need to use a set of shackles obviously but without the proper positioning I can't proceed. The length of the spring with weight on it is what I need, my friends 4" lift leafs measured 47 1/4" from center of front bolt to center of upper shackle bolt, not the leaf bolt. I just don't want to have to cut off what I just put on if its off an inch or two... Thanks!

Re: 12\" superlift eye to eye measurement?

from the factory it should be the same length or with in about half an inch of stock but those 12 inch springs grow in (eye to eye) length alot as they sag maybe 2 inches in a year ..... I would definately make a shackle mount in the rear with several sets of holes so you can compensate .......
Another option I've been thinking about is ball or roller bearings on the through bolt for the sping eye and channels for these bearings to ride in (fore and aft) I think this will be more stable and smoother than a shackle but haven't tried it yet so unsure

I have 12" springs, and they were roughly the same as stock, 46 and somethign. And when I put weight on it, it didn't settle. At all. Didn't move. After I took two leaves out, it actually flexes, and doens't ride too bad.
