My Buddies All Wheel Steering Monster Chev (pics)

It's been awhile since I've posted but I see some familiar names. I am just finishing up with my frame up rebuild that's taken me the past 10 months. I'll get some pics up when I get some time to take them. I thought you all might like to see my buddy's truck. It was a military truck used to pull cargo planes around the runway. The all wheel steering is pretty sweet. The thing is pretty much indestructible. He put it on ebay to see what it will bring but he's sitting on a $13,000 offer right now. Check it out and tell me what you guys think!

The military truck is a chevy, it looks just like that truck but with little itty bitty tires... The axle gear ratio is like 30-1 or something

It came from the military just as you see it, all except for the paint, bumper, and flatbed. The body, axles, wheels and tires are the same. It was specially built just as it is to tow planes. That's what the crabbing and AWS features are for. It was actually down here at Hill AFB where I work and they got it on an auction. We took it up in some way steep country (Cobalt, Idaho if anyone knows where that is) and it crawls like crazy with the sum gears and can get out of pretty much anything with the steering. It tops out at 18 mph. He's getting a gear made to replace the three sum gears so it should be able to go 50-60 after that. They will be interchangable which is cool. They have another one just like it that they are putting a stepside on. I think they are keeping that one.

I'm not sure what the name is. I'll ask my buddy tonight when we're putting a tach in my truck. Maybe we'll have to check the title to see what it's titled as.
