trany bolts loose?

for some reason the bolts that attach my 305 engine to my 350 transmition were loose. three of them stuck out about 2 millimeters. is this for some flex issues or did the po just not torque them down. i tightened them but i dont havea torque wrench so i just got them is tight as i could being sure not to break them.

Re: trany bolts loose?

No.....they are supposed to be tight. I have never torqued em.....always go "about that tight"

You get the ones up top? They can be hard to get to without a long extension and a U joint. Hopefully this "pro" didnt do the same thing to the torque converter bolts
