Front end popping on K-25

I have a 1976 GMC K-25. When it is lock in 4wd drive the front right tire makes a popping noise and nearly pulls up off of the ground. I have checked the U-Joints and they all seem to be in working order. The gears in the front end also look fine. Any ideas?

Probably monkeyed up lockouts. Try having someone watch the wheel universal when you try to get it to pop. If it jumps pull apart the hubs.

Had a similar problem. Turned out broken wheel bearings ate the hub. Since replaced it's been 100%. Good luck.
